Terms of use

These terms apply to everyone who uses tvfanzines.co.uk (“TV Fanzines”, “we”, “us”). By joining or posting you agree to them and to our community rules, which are part of these terms. Our privacy notice explains how we use personal information.

1. Who can join

You must be 13 or older to create an account. If you’re under 18, please make sure a parent or carer knows you’re using the site. Each person may have one account. Keep your password private — you’re responsible for what is posted from your account.

2. Your work stays yours

You keep the copyright in the original things you post. When you submit a work, you give TV Fanzines a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, display, resize and reformat it on the site, in its RSS feed and in link previews (for example when someone shares a link to your work), with credit to your display name, for as long as it is on the site. We won’t sell your work or use it in advertising.

The licence ends when you delete the work or your account, except that copies may remain in backups for a short time and we may keep records we need for moderation or legal reasons (see the privacy notice). Other members don’t get any right to copy your work.

3. What you promise us

When you post, you confirm that the work is yours, that it doesn’t copy official images or anyone else’s work, that it follows the community rules, and that posting it doesn’t break the law or anyone else’s rights.

4. Fan works and other people’s rights

Fan works are unofficial and non-commercial. The shows, characters and names they’re about belong to their owners, and TV Fanzines isn’t connected with or endorsed by any broadcaster, streaming service or production company. Rights holders can ask us to remove material using our copyright and takedown process.

5. Moderation

Everything you submit is checked before it appears, and we decide what is published. We may refuse, remove or edit labels on any work (for example to add a spoiler warning), and we may suspend or delete accounts that break these terms. We’ll normally tell you why. If you disagree with a decision you can ask us to look again — see “Complaints and appeals” in the community rules.

6. Leaving

You can delete any of your works, or your whole account, at any time from your account page. Deleting your account removes your profile, your works and their images.

7. Our service

We run TV Fanzines as a free community site and do our best to keep it available and safe, but we can’t promise it will always be available or free of errors, and we may change or close features. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have by law, or our liability where it can’t legally be limited.

8. Changes and contact

We may update these terms; the date at the top shows the latest version, and we’ll tell members by email about significant changes. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Questions: hello@tvfanzines.co.uk.
