Copyright and takedown
TV Fanzines only allows members to share work they made themselves, and every submission is checked before it goes live. Mistakes can still happen. If you own the copyright in something that appears here without your permission — official images, artwork, writing or anything else — tell us and we’ll deal with it quickly.
How to send a takedown notice
Email hello@tvfanzines.co.uk with the subject “Copyright notice” and include:
- Your name and contact details, and who you represent if you’re acting for the copyright owner.
- A description of the original work you own (with a link to it if possible).
- The full web address of each page on TV Fanzines that uses it.
- A statement that you believe in good faith the use isn’t authorised by you, your agent or the law.
- A statement that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the owner or are authorised to act for them.
What happens next
- We’ll acknowledge your notice and look at it promptly. Where a notice is clear and complete, we’ll take the material off the site while we review it.
- We’ll tell the member who posted it what has been removed and why, and pass on the substance of your complaint. We won’t share your contact details with them unless you agree.
- If the member believes the removal was a mistake (for example because they made the work themselves), they can reply with an explanation. We’ll consider it and may contact you before deciding whether to restore anything.
- Members who repeatedly post other people’s work will have their accounts closed.
Fan works and the shows they’re about
Fan works on TV Fanzines are unofficial, non-commercial tributes made by fans. The shows, characters, names and trade marks they refer to belong to their owners, and nothing here suggests any connection with or endorsement by them. If you represent a show and have concerns about how fan works about it are presented, please get in touch — we’re happy to talk.
You can also report a single work using the Report link on its page and choosing “Copies official images or someone else’s work”.
