Community rules

TV Fanzines is for people aged 13 and over to share fan works they made themselves. These rules keep it fun, fair and safe. Every submission is checked against them before it goes live.

  1. Original work only

Share things you made: your drawings, paintings, digital art, stories, endings, theories, reviews and poster designs.

    • Don’t upload official stills, screenshots, promotional photos, posters, logos, title cards or trailers — even cropped, filtered or drawn over.
    • Don’t trace or copy someone else’s art or writing, and don’t post another fan’s work, even with credit, unless you made it together and they agree.
    • Fan works can use characters and places from a show — that’s what fan works are — but the picture or words themselves must be yours.
    • No photos of real people, including yourself. Show us the thing you made, not who made it.
  2. Mark your spoilers

If your work gives away a plot twist, an ending or anything from an episode that has only just aired, tick the spoiler box and say how far it goes (for example “up to the series 2 finale”). Keep spoilers out of your title and tags — those are shown everywhere. Unmarked spoilers will be sent back for you to fix.

  3. Label AI-assisted work

If you used AI tools to make any part of your work — images, text, ideas you’ve copied in — tick the AI-assisted box so it’s labelled. Work that is mostly AI-generated with little of your own effort may not be approved. Never use AI to imitate a real person or another fan’s style and pass it off as theirs.

  4. Keep it right for 13+

Choose All ages or Teen 13+ honestly. Teen 13+ is for darker themes, peril, scary moments or strong language. Some things aren’t allowed at all:

    • No sexual or sexually suggestive content, and nothing sexual involving characters who are, or look like, under-18s.
    • No graphic violence or gore.
    • Nothing that encourages or shows how to self-harm, attempt suicide or follow an eating disorder.
    • No hate: nothing attacking people because of race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, disability, sex, sexual orientation or gender identity.
    • No harassment or bullying of anyone — members, actors, writers or anyone else — and no sharing of anyone’s personal information.
    • Nothing illegal, including terrorist content, threats, scams or content that promotes dangerous challenges, drugs or weapons.
  5. Be kind, stay safe

    • Don’t share your address, school, phone number or other contact details in your work or profile, and don’t ask others for theirs.
    • No adverts, spam or links to sell things.
    • Don’t pretend to be someone else, including actors, writers, broadcasters or the TV Fanzines team.
    • One account per person.

What happens if something breaks the rules

If a submission doesn’t meet these rules we won’t approve it, and we’ll email you the reason so you can change it and send it back. If something already on the site breaks the rules — whether we spot it or someone reports it — we’ll remove it and tell the member why. We may suspend or delete accounts that break the rules seriously or repeatedly, and we report illegal content to the police or other authorities where we need to.

Reporting

Every work and every profile has a Report link. You don’t need an account to use it, and the member isn’t told who reported them. Reports come straight to the TV Fanzines team. Copyright owners can also use our takedown process.

Complaints and appeals

If you think we got a decision wrong — about your work, your account or something you reported — reply to the email we sent you or write to hello@tvfanzines.co.uk. Tell us what the decision was and why you think it should change. A person will look at it again and reply to you.

Other organisations that can help with harmful content online include Report Harmful Content.
